Lustiges Prümtal - Infos zur Strecke
Olzheim
Always on the first Sunday in September - between Olzheim and Waxweiler, this means: a car-free route for cyclists and hikers; for numerous activities and attractions in the towns along the 27 km route. The host municipalities of Arzfeld and Prüm are looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors.
The starting signal for the car-free Sunday is given at 10 a.m. in the two starting and finishing towns of Olzheim and Waxweiler. In between, the beautiful route winds its way through the Prüm Valley via Willwerath, Hermespand, Prüm, Niederprüm, Watzerath, Pittenbach, Pronsfeld, Lünebach, Merlscheid, Kinzenburg and Heilhausen - as seen from the direction of Olzheim.
It is definitely worth stopping off in the individual villages. Once again this year, the communities and clubs will provide a full program of cycling activities and create a "folk festival atmosphere". There will also be fun and entertainment for children. In some places there will be "live" rock, pop or brass band music. The food and drink stands with hearty home-made Eifel delicacies will help to ensure that the pace of the participants will not be too fast in any of the locations.
Numerous fire departments, police and the DRK will once again ensure safety and smooth running.
