The circular tour starts at the parking lot by the canal or at the Haus des Gastes in Waxweiler. The trail first leads along the Am Schmelzberg road to the former Roman villa, an exciting testimony to ancient settlement. From there, follow the signs to the biotope before returning to the main path.
Now follow the Devon Trail markings to the viewing platform - a wonderful place with a wide panoramic view over the Prümtal valley, ideal for a rest or some nice souvenir photos.
About 100 meters down the road, a narrow path branches off and leads down steps to the Prüm. The riverside path takes you leisurely downstream to the village. At the crossroads, turn right onto the L 10, then after around 200 meters turn left onto Luxemburger Straße and return to the starting point. A varied combination of culture, nature and views.
