The hiking trail begins in Waxweiler at the Ginshausermühle parking lot. From here, you first follow the cycle path along the Prüm, which offers a pleasant and varied route. Shortly after the start, you cross the Prüm over a former railroad bridge, which offers a special view of the river and the surrounding nature.

After the bridge, the route leads to Heilhauser Mühle, where a stop is recommended to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and regional cuisine. After the break, the route crosses the Prüm again, this time in the direction of the forest. The path leads slightly uphill through a shady section of forest that promises tranquillity and an experience of nature.

After the slight ascent, a magnificent view opens up of the Prüm Valley, which stretches out wide and picturesque. There is also a view of the Heilhauser Mühle campsite, which is idyllically situated in the landscape. The trail leads past the quarry, which is an interesting geological feature, and finally returns to Waxweiler.

In Waxweiler, there is an opportunity to visit the playground, which is a great addition to a day's hiking, especially for families with children.
