Experience wool at the Wool Action Day in Ringhuscheid

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, a Wool Action Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the community center Krautscheid-Ringhuscheid. Under the motto “They must be crazy! – from sheep to fluff,” visitors can gain insights into the processing of wool as well as participate in hands-on activities like felting and spinning. A mobile loom will also be on-site, demonstrating how fabric is made from wool.

Starting at 2:30 p.m., there will be a "Shepherd's Hour" with Günther Czerkus – stories from and questions to an experienced shepherd from the Eifel.

The offer is aimed at all interested parties, whether beginners or advanced, young or old.

A registration via email to wolle-ringhuscheid@t-online.de is requested for organizational reasons; however, spontaneous drop-ins are also welcome.

The project is implemented with professional support from the Wool Combing Ahr-Eifel, funded by the LEADER program of the Bitburg-Prüm region, and co-financed by the European Union.
