Circular hike over the heights of Dahnen and through the forests of the Ourtal

On the one hand, the route offers wide views over the Islek heights and over the Ourtal to neighboring Luxembourg. On the other hand, it follows the winding, here partly narrow Ourtal halfway up and offers a natural hike in the wild and bird-rich hillside forest of the Middle Ourtal nature reserve.

Highlights along the way:

  •      Numerous vantage points with distant views, e.g. "Guckmal" near Dahnen
  •      Mittlers Ourtal nature reserve
  •      Many former mills
