Naturpark Südeifel hiking trail no. 88 - Eilscheid

Circular hiking trail from Eilscheid to Merlscheid, past Lierscheid along the Ginselbach back to Eilscheid.

The Islek has a long agricultural tradition. In the past, people laboriously wrestled their harvests from the mostly barren soil. Even if the number of farms is constantly decreasing, their cultural landscape character is unmistakable, as this circular route nicely shows. Today more than ever attention is paid to nature-friendly and sustainable management.
